It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Within it triple-moated defense the huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft.     After breakfast visit to Aberdeen Waterfall. The trek to fall will take about 45 minutes The impressive 98m fall makes up a section of the Kehelgamuwa River and joins the Maskeli River at Kalugala before flowing into the ocean via the Kelani River. Unfortunately, the Norton Bridge dam constructed under the Lakshapana Project has decreased the volume of water in the fall, but it continues to cascade except in severe drought conditions. According to folklore, there is a tunnel leading from Aberdeen Falls to the neighboringLakshapana Falls – the supposed opening of which can be seen near the Puna River. Aberdeen fall is located 6km from the NuwaraEliya District in the Kehelgamuwa mountain range, which encompasses an area made up of Ginigathhena, Norton Bridge, Lakshapana and Maskeliya. En route visit a Tea Factory and a Plantationto witness the manufacturing process of world famous "Ceylon Tea"and to taste a pure unblended cup of factory fresh tea before being sent to the Tea Auctions in Colombo leading to Export.
